The DESWeb workshop on “Data Engineering meets the Semantic Web” aims at bridging the gap between the recent advent of Semantic Web technologies and the well-established database techniques. As it has been proved over the last years through several publications and commercial or open source products, there is great potential for mutual learning and cross-fertilization from these two research communities. Given recent developments on the Linked (Open) Data initiative, Web-scale semantic graphs, and related trends, freeing up these synergies to tackle the challenges ahead is more important than ever.

More details about the mission and goals of the workshop, as well as specific topics of interest can be found on the call for papers.

As in previous years, DESWeb is co-located with the the annual IEEE International Conference on Data Engineering (ICDE2015). For issues related to the workshop, you can contact the workshop chairs.
